Città di Collegno (TO)
New LED lighting in Collegno, town in the province of Turin, where in its streets have been replaced about 500 mercury lamps 80W (banned by the European community and out of production) with LED Street Light 360° with power 45W.
There are many beneficts for the town of Collegno:
- Elimination of light sources with considerable quantities of mercury;
- Energy saving, comparing the 80W lamps (with ballasts absorb 100W) with the new LED 45W (quantified with a saving of about 23,000 euro per year);
- The LED lamps have a service life equal to 50,000 hours (12 years), the old mercury lamps have a service life equal to 18.000h (5 years);
- Visual comfort increase (higher lighting values and better color accent).
The whole is for the project of Collegno to improve environmental and economic sustainability of the services offered to citizens, their performance and efficiency of the processes that support the disbursement. It is the path linked to the creation of Collegno Smart City.
